It finally begins!

Well, after 7 months of planning & shopping, revising and more planning, we've finally started our kitchen remodel! We moved the back wall of our kitchen out 6", changing it from brick to cedar siding in the process. Though the extra space in the kitchen is helpful, the primary reason was to attractively eliminate the back door and change the number and location of kitchen windows in the back wall of our 1950's brick Cape Cod. So step 1 is complete and the roll-off dumpster should show up in the driveway Tuesday after Labor Day for disposing of the 4 ton pile of brick rubble in the side yard and beginning the demo of the kitchen interior.
